Sci- hub is only really around because of the sheer greed of the publishing companies. It gives poor but intelligent students the means to access research they otherwise couldn’t afford. It’s totally immoral in this day and age that how much info you can get should be dictated by how much money you or your parents have.
If publishers don’t want a site like sci hub the decent and reasonable thing to do is to ditch the policy of ‘wanton greed’ and charge reasonable fees for articles. I certainly couldn’t afford to provide the links to many full articles if solely reliant on paying the exorbitant fees charged by the publishing companies.
