“Blank Page”

as i open my eyes
on a new day
i turn the page in
the book of my life
and prepare to write
the next chapter,
wondering will it be
comedy or tragedy
or some other kind
of thing yet to be
decided, the blank
page staring back at
me just waiting for
me to begin
