I think that I say and do mean and embarassing things and that I have dissociative amnesia about it. What do I do?
Personally, there was a time that I suspected that I not only had 2 personalities; but, also suspected that they very occasionally disassociated for a few seconds.
I spoke to a psychologist about it. I had been seeing that psychologist for years, off and on. He described a case of real dissociative identity disorder that he was treating, and basically assured me that I didn’t seem to have DID.
However, I guess it depends on how ‘mean’ you might think the things being done are. If they are extremely ‘mean,’ maybe the professional to talk to is a lawyer.
