Hey @NiceHat Unfortunately all meds have side effects, including psych meds.

It’s all about trial and error.

Maybe you can discuss the different meds with your pdoc and try to find a med that you can live with.

I had a bad pacing problem when I was on Prolixin. The only way I could correct it was to get on a different med. Maybe you could try a different AP.

Man I pace a lot!
When I’m on APs I pace.
When I am feeling anxious I pace.
When I’m mood cycling I sometimes pace.
When I’m feeling overwhelmed I pace.
When I was withdrawing from APs I paced.

I am all paced out!

What’s funny I’m on prolixin now…dam I’ve been pacing a lot…not getting anything done just pacing…

That’s exactly the way it was for me. When they switched me to Geodon and Seroquel they controlled my symptoms and the pacing went away.

I feel bad for you @flameoftherhine
Hang in there - I’m sure that there is a med out there that won’t make you so sleepy.
Try talking with your doctor as soon as possible.

Stuff floating around your head? Finding ways to switch off is the answer in that regards. Walking, watching TV a movie you like. Even lost watching cartoons. Something you don’t have to think to much with. Coloring books some hobbie are other answers. Does help also to talk so I hope you are doing that also. We are very much social beings and need to be connected.

I had pacing a lot maybe it was anxiety but it’s gone now

I found that the best solution for my akathisia was actually Lexapro which is an anti depressant

I was trembling on Geodon, I like to think of myself as someone who doesn’t suffer from side effects but my history with meds says otherwise…:weary::pill:. Hopefully theyll formulate :alembic:some new ones with less side effects.
