Oxytocin found in vanilla is a love hormone and can help schizophrenia

I have real vanilla beans in my cupboard, and I incorporate it in my diet about twice a week.

I have noticed I’m more caring and loving.

Vanilla and chocolate raise oxytocin levels in the body but I don’t do well with chocolate because all the heavy metals in chocolate. I’m look to get an all organic chocolate from Amazon next week.

The vanilla has more affinity to raise oxytocin than chocolate, also vanilla seems more affective for me.

Everyone is different, so you just gotta try it.

Having low oxytocin can lead to crime apparently

Vanilla is my favourite icecream.

And I’m not a criminal.

It’s also in walnuts and linseed oil.

I love vanilla ice cream too.

Do walnuts and linseed also increase oxytocin?

I never knew that. I don’t do too well with linseeds and flaxseed, but I like walnuts

Thanks for letting me know

Yes, read it in an article about oxytocine.

Walnuts contains also selenium, good for the brain.

I’m in a better mood since I eat them daily, about 3 to 4 nuts.

I use real vanilla all the time, not noticing any difference.

@shutterbug

Your oxytocin levels are normal then, so you won’t notice much.

I notice a big difference, and I’m really in tuned with my body

Music, exercise and hugging a loved one also raises our oxytocin levels.

They’re actually low. Had to have some testing done recently.

I used to drink red bush tea with added vanilla for years and noticed nothing.

But now im no longer a boring emotional less drugged up from meds I can feel the difference.

Say all you want mate, I know how I feel

Keep taking your lions mane mushrooms

Also, you really just had a test to check your oxytocin levels…yea right

I’m glad you feel better but it could be placebo effect.

Just went through a bunch of urine and blood panels for neurological issues and they’re looking at all kinds of things. That was on the list. My testosterone is also low. Apparently dopamine shows as low in my blood but the doctor says that the levels can be different in my actual nervous system itself.

24 hour urine testing is a pain in the arse.

@shutterbug

Too much oxytocin causes depression and aggression to others I read. You may want to lay off the vanilla. Moderation is key I think

I didn’t mean ur aggressive just saying

I have no idea what the heck you’re on about. I’m not sure you know what you’re on about.

@shutterbug

You took it the wrong way. I read too much oxytocin causes aggression. You said you eat vanilla all the time, so that can cause mood swings and aggressive behaviour.

You have to balance it out with vanilla, you can’t go eating it all the time.

I notice a huge difference after eating vanilla for a whole week. I had mood swings everything. At first I felt love while playing gran Turismo, just a gentle loving warming feeling, nothing over the top just a very nice lift of mood. So I kept taking it and it got too much, I started being aggressive and felt off, no placebo.

I have feelings that I’m aware of, maybe you don’t so good for you.

I use vanilla beans in things I make from scratch because I prefer fresh vanilla, not the artificial stuff. I don’t eat a lot of baked goods, but that is what I use it in. Vanilla is good for enhancing other flavours as well. I don’t seem to get any sort of natural high from stuff made with vanilla. I get happy boosts from using a camera or petting the kitty or holding my wife’s hand during a walk.

Yeh I like to do snappy pictures with phones but I moved on from that years ago. Good it’s a hobbie you enjoy. My life would be a bore if I didn’t play games and have fun. I’m more sensitive to food so I get a buzz off it, I used be boring and eat like whatever, but guess I’m moving on. :grin:
