Not only is OU losing its head football coach, OU is also losing quarterback Rattler and star receiver Stogner. Something must be going on in that program. I don’t know much about it, but the first time I was at OU it seemed like people could be kind of snotty. I guess it wasn’t just terrible. You were as likely to get into a fight on any other campus as OU, but people were still kind of mean spirited at OU. I heard other people comment on it. Like, if you tripped and dropped your books there, someone was likely to laugh at you, while at a different school they would politely look away. Or, if you walked into an office the guy at the front desk would turn up his nose and look away. It can be hard not to let this ill will to get embedded in your own psyche, because if you’re walking around complaining about people being snotty, you’re being snotty yourself, but I have heard other people comment on the unpleasant attitude among the students at OU. Still, I wish some of that “win or die” attitude in college football would go away. At the beginning of this season the OU fans actually booed Spencer Rattler because his performance wasn’t up to their expectations. That’s bad form.
