The magnitude of the fireworks going off is too much for just someone who went off and bought stuff.
It is definitely something cleared by the city becaause the authorities would be stopping them if it wasn’t. These are like professional fireworks. And ,as far as I know, amatuer fireworks are only allowed around the 4th of july and new years.
Please tell me that my city is not setting off fireworks for “May the 4th be with you”

I just searched for my cities events again and all I could find was a may the 4th star wars thing on facebook. The page did not mention fireworks , though.

Yeah it came up on my facebook today as it’s the 5th here so someone was commenting who lives in Louisiana. Might be because it’s on the Saturday night?
It actually seems like its coming from the fairgrounds which is close. I looked and saw a cinco de mayo thing going on there tonight. Mystery solved i think.
