I quit vaping 3 days ago and now only have the occasional nicotine gum (but less than 4 pieces a day)
Last night and today I have experienced occasional chest pain and tightness. Lasts less than ten seconds. Stress makes it worse
I was understandably pretty worried but a brief trip to doctor google revealed this is pretty common when quitting nicotine.
Am totally going keep a close eye on it though

Is that a type of withdrawal?

I think so. But I am not that knowledgeable or experienced with this stuff

I don’t know if this is what’s going on,
But when my husband switched to gum he had a lot of chest pain due to acid reflux and stomach upset.
He was just chewing the gum like regular gum instead of following the instructions.
I’m not sure if that’s the case with you,
Just throwing it out there.

Thanks @Charles_Foster
You are right - nicotine gum is used differently to regular gum. Like your husband experienced it can cause problems when used incorrectly
Will keep an eye on my usage and let you know!!

Proud of you Jimbob, i hope you can keep off the crap lol,
My pal is coughing his lungs up idk why he keeps doing that to himself, i see it as a form of self harm tbh

I’ve gotten on nicotine gum and experienced chest pain. I think it was my lungs. I vape now and this was when I smoked cigarettes. Good luck on kicking it. I’m rooting for you

Maybe it’s the stress of withdrawal. It’ll pass dude. Glad to see your quitting smoking

I developed necrotic tissue near my left collarbone from smoking. Apparently it’s irreversible, but it has gotten better with time. I applied some ointmemt to help moisturise it. Haven’t used it alot lately though since it hasn’t bothered me much.
