Vortioxetine is also known as:
I’ve heard other people talk about trintellix on this forum. It’s an AD. Don’t remember who it was though.
As it’s a serotonin modulator and not a SSRI maybe you will get less side effects. If I had to pick major serotonin antidepressants for myself it would be this and fluoxetine
My pdoc put me on this AD 2 weeks ago. I’m on 10mgs. He think it would help for my concentration, memory and negative symptoms. I’m giving it a try.
He has started me on 5mg and is upping it once he knows it’s tolerated.
Good luck with it! I hope it works for us both.
The anxiety is a real problem that I hope this will solve.
Gotta stop taking the diazepam as that’s not great to be taking too much of that
Thanks. I have not been on an AD for many years. So good luck to both of us.
I’m also taking Diazepam primarily for restless legs at night…2.5mg. I also want to get off from it
I have been on Diazepam for years. It’s not a good situation
It was originally needed to fight side effects from Haldol
I took vortioxetine for a little bit, but it always led to nausea. Ive heard its a very good drug though
They said that starting at 5mg and moving it up slowly might prevent that, but not so sure
Problem is I don’t want it to get ditched too early like I did with Propalonol (I can’t spell it)
It was given at such a low dose it did nothing, but I know a few members have found it useful
Sorry you didn’t tolerate it. How long did you take it for before you stopped?
Two weeks, i think at least, was a few years ago
Does anyone know if this drug works for anxiety whether they can take me off Pregabalin as well as the diazepam?
I have been banned from Googling too much, but they did not say I can’t ask others for their opinions on it
Vortioxetine has a mild anti anxiety affect along with the anti-depressant effect. It takes a few weeks to get going during which you can be nauseous.
The drug works for me. It lifted my mood but I was still anxious, although less so.
Yeah it might work for anxiety but that doesn’t mean they can take you off other drugs. To be honest my personal approach to bezos is that you want to take yourself off them.
You are not banned from google, I encourage you to do your own research and implore you to keep youself inform on your own health issue. Don’t lose your inquisitiveness
