Ever since I got my olanzapine injection I have been stable, but not been able to look forward to anything, expecting anything.
I’m still not sure if it’s a side effect of olanzapine, but if it is, I prefer to be unstable on abilify but have something to look forward to.
High doses of AP’s can sometimes cause some deadening of the soul. At other times it’s a life saver.
Olanzapine is that kind of drug that takes away motivation, emotions and makes it hard to be joyful.
Only taking 5mg now, so not so bad, but I remember taking 20mg, and that totally killed my spirit.
Tbh that is how i feel. I just feel flat the only thing i feel is fear and sadness nothing else im also on olanzapine but id rather be on this then get the side affects of abilify
Do you take any other meds that is the dose im on too

Yeah. Ability was really bad for me too. Took 15mg and had to give it up already after first day. Did not agree with me at all.
I only take the olanzapine + several supplements to help out with symptoms and sleep.
Same here we have a similar medication profile lol maybe we are related
Also how long have you taken 5mg for. Im wondering if i should reduce my dose because i have only been on it 6 months and am worried about side effects do you hsve many
I have been on 5mg about 8 years. It’s given me insomnia, other than that nothing particular.
I do agree with you blue. I can tell that I’ve had simulere experience as you do lately. I know that it changes our perspectives on life. But as that change occures I’ve found peace of mind. I realise now that I ain’t gonna be that big shot I once thought. With no psychotic thougt but mostly negative symptoms.
Really do you still have it even on the drug i heard you can get insomnia if you come off
I do agree in that response is very individually. And a drug that is said to be very sedating could produce the opposite effect on the unluckily ones. I talk from experience because I had the worst known kind of insomnia on Geodon. Now half a year after quilting Geodon I sleep like a baby every night on Clopixol and Seroquel.
Yeah, the drug messed up my sleep. If I skip medication I don’t sleep at all. On 5mg I get poor sleep. Even not good sleep on 10mg.
This is the main reason I want off this drug.
Mr hope that’s a very complex problem that you must talk about with your health care provider about. I.hope you don’t have to go through to many trials and that.you will solve the problem very soon.

Will attempt a switch to seroquel when I get into a quiet period, so that I can deal with withdrawals.
The only option I got from the psych team here is to go on nozinan. But it doesn’t sound tempting. But my gp will support me trying seroquel.
I’m also exploring supplements. Got a shipment of oleamide, uridine and sarcosine coming. All of which might do something for sleep if I’m lucky.
I was on Nozenan decads ago and that’s not advice able so go the Seroquel road.

Today was a good day, and i did look forward to something. I’m looking forward to spring where i plan a fishing trip to the west coast of Jutland.
By the way “Nozinan” is no longer on the market, it was a hell of a heavy drug, i only tried it once and slept for 15 hours.
