Im sure nobody wants to hear my problems but lately thinks have been rocky. From tv delusion to excessive rumination and paranoia.
Thinking abilify helps but its possible not right for me.
Anyways …i hope you guys are doing ok

When do you see your psychiatrist again?
Also what dose of Abilify are you on?
TV delusions are a bad sign.

Yea they are usually signs of the beginning of psychoisis 4 me alongside delusions of reference
Hope it subdues. Try to reduce stress load perhaps? If possible

I see her in 2 weeks. She ripped my dose from 10 mg to 15 because I was having really bad tv delusions. Ive only been on it for about 6 days tho…
Im hoping it gets better because aside from the increased tv delusions i feel really good on abilify compared to other APs. Mood wise im great and I feel clear most of the time….If it stops my symptoms It would be great man…

Thanks zoe.. I think coming of of zyprexa made my delusions worse. Its was extremely effective but the side effexts were bad. I guess I will find out I. The next couple of weeks if the abilify will make a difference.

What type of side- effects?
Im considering it…problem is I would have to give up good food and probably still end up gaining weight and having high Blood sugar.
It wad really effective but I think I gained 15 lbs in the first month .

It takes about 2 weeks for it to reach a steady state in your system. 6 days is a very short period of time to judge it. So give it a bit of time.
I’m on 15mg myself. 10mg wasn’t doing the job for me either.

I understand and @everhopeful is right about giving Abilify a proper go. Your right too @signless absolutely. I know weight gain and high blood sugars is a problem i am obese and diabetic my weight has been stable now for years. I put up with it because i know im suceptable to weight gain on all antipsychotics its just good im on one where its not gone any higher. I gained weight on all the APs ive tried in the past including abilify lol diabetes is well managed thou and i stick to between 1200-2000 calories a day. Youve got to do whats best for you and talk to your doctor

Yea im gonna give it more time. If it doesn’t disprove my symptoms i might go back on zyprexa. I like myself more when im stable .

The way I avoid TV delusions is I don’t watch any TV at all. That takes care of it believe it or not.
