I’ve noticed the kids shorten every word.
Is it because the kids these days are dumb or lazy?
I don’t know, but they can’t seem to get through a normal word without halving it.
I worry for the future.

Ha! Well, language changes all the time. Can ypu imagine how a Victorian with flowery speech would have felt in the 20th Century?

Language changes a lot.
But I don’t know if this is because they won’t or can’t pronounce a three syllable word.
We’re turning our text shortcuts into actual conversation and I don’t like it.

Here’s an example.
My sister took her PAs to lunch one day and they got margaritas.
One spilled a margarita on the table.
The other PA said “I’ll help you with that sitch after I finish my marg.”
"I’ll help you with that situation after I finish my margarita isn’t difficult to say.
They’re making a point of it.
I don’t understand.
I’m an old lady.

I think maybe its because maybe kids think that sounding intelligent isnt cool so they dumb it all down lol.
My fave young kids word is Yeet. “Yo I just yeeted my garbage into the trash can”
