You cant remove the joycons on this. I’ll stick with my regular switch

But it’s smaller and thinner … looks better for handheld

The joysticks that came with my Switch started malfunctioning after a year, and I read a lot of people have the same problem and had to pay 80 dollars for new joy con attachments. Hopefully they use better quality parts for the mini since you can’t replace the joysticks on it.

That being said I really want one lol, but I can’t unless they come up with a way to sync it to your regular Switch’s library… all my games are digital, I don’t use game cartridges.

Hmmm. Some 6 months after the system first released, I dropped it accidentally (the only time it has happened). One of the the joy stick on the left joycon was damaged. I had insurance for accidental damage from spills and drops. With that in mind I took it to the store. The people there instead of replacing the joycons replaced the whole console. I was happy to have working joycons free of charge but it was a bit of a hassle having registered the system with Nintendo and removing my account to the play store was tedious in the early days of the console. Not sure if it is now. The worst part was that I was about 30 hours into Zelda. It was before the online sync save. I haven’t played Zelda much since having to go over the beginning. Anyway, joycons are a little pricey though it is neat they can be used as a controller when my cousin visits. I use the pro controller when my Switch is docked.

Ohhh sucks about the save file… I actually have abused the cloud save data option in Nine Parchments. There’s a hardcore mode that deletes your save if you die, so I turn off automatic backup for that one game, make a backup, then play… and if I die, I reload the backup. If I get to another save point I log off and backup again. Very clever stuff, my cheating is.

My problem was drifting on the right joy-con’s analog stick. Games that let you rotate models of items you have selected for example… my items would always be rotating. My character on Skyrim would start looking up at random times, and the B button would stop working in smash brothers also. I’d have to like squeeze the joy con really hard to reset it so it works again. I never replaced the joy con, just gave them to my brother with the system. I’m determined not to overuse the ones on my new Switch. I got grey this time, instead of neon blue and red.

It’s cool that you have a pro controller that thing is awesome! I can’t believe I played switch games for a whole year without it. It would have been so much more comfortable for all that Skyrim time.

I like turquoise one. I probably will get it for my girls. They’ve been wanting one. I got the original switch and they’ve been playing Pokemon on it.
