New Guitar!

Here is my new electro acoustic guitar!

It is an Alvarez FD60 AMB and is a considerable upgrade to my fender C-60s.

It is second hand but in immaculate condition!

It is considerably smaller than my full size fender c-60 s which is a massive bonus for my small hands.

I got it with the case for £200

It is made out of maple with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It has an abalone rosette and gold plated tuning machines.

This was a huge bargain and I am well chuffed.

Do you like it?

Sweet! I love the finish. It has a rustic look to it.

How does it sound compared to your Fender?

I’ve got a fender acoustic guitar but I usually play my nylon string guitar because it is easier for finger picking. It’s a nice fender acoustic.

I am figuring out what I’m to do. I want to put some strap pegs in my nylon string because those don’t have them. If course I’d get a luthier for that.

I’m interested in classical guitar though it’s really difficult.
I’ve got some nice books of songs from Ireland and Israel. They are finger picking songs and my nails break so often I don’t see how people use an acoustic unless they are using finger picks or falsies.

It sounds much sweeter!

And because it is smaller and my hand diameter is so tiny it is much easier to play. According to Bing AI I’d suit a parlour guitar or 7/8 or even a 3/4.

I can reach the B now where as it was nigh on impossible before!

I only picked up a guitar on last January! I even took 3 months off for avolition, but I am back at it now.

I was recording songs in a few weeks. You just need a few chords and before you know it you can strum a tune together.

No time like the present to get a second hand guitar and take up a new hobby!

I have tried to stop using a plectrum and have grown my nails somewhat as i have more control just fingerpicking. I love the sound of it too. It is taking some adjustment though.

Never played a nylon string though.
