Has anyone ever had a negative experince from AP meds which they feel it never made them better
I have no benefits from AP just deformities am I alone here?
I have extreme flatness. Had it bad before the meds and now the meds just made it worse unfortunately.

Still flat, im taking zoloft and ativan now.
I’m flat with Zoloft too although it is supposed to be helping me not be.

Mmm I just started zoloft yesterday, seemed to help my sleep. I wonder how long the flat effect will last for me?
A flat effect is a symptom of this illness. It is most likely a result of just being ill and not from your medications.
Why are you not on an antipsychotic? Do you have schziophrenia?

APs give me bizzare side effects, doctors dont want to give me them now.
I was diagnosed scz disorder, somatic disorder, ocd, borderline personality,
I feel I was misdiagnosed though I admit to somatic disorder though.
APs are to tough for me im hyper sensitive
I got a dramatic physical weakening from the med’s. I can’t help resenting that. With the typical AP’s I get a very flat affect. At least on the atypicals I can feel things. I can’t write at all on the typicals, and I can write on the atypicals.

I have a pretty awful flat mood, I remember when I quit abilify after 3 to 4 weeks I felt high.
I lowered my Risperdal dose down below therapeutic levels, I thought that I would have more motivation, but it wasnt the case, my motivation and flatness was worse - its the illness not the meds.
Actually the meds can help with the Negative Symptoms.

I was flat before taking meds. Was flat after taking meds. Had to learn how to deal with it on my own outside of meds. Meds don’t magically fix everything. Having SZ is like having a busted vehicle. Having SZ with meds is like having a busted vehicle, but also a set of wrenches. Still up to you to pick up the wrenches and start fixing the problems so you can finally go somewhere.

I was flat before meds but on meds I cant think, I cant feel,its hell… I am in the psychiatry since 7 years and I never got better… none of their meds didn’t work on me… I ve just decreased my dosage of zyprexa from 10 mg to 5 mg now, I don’t wanna be a zombie anymore. even my mom sees that I don’t do very well on them… I am afraid of my paranoia but who didn’t got it in his life? don’t know,probably ill seek other ways coping with it…you are lucky that you have the support of your docs to stop your aps… me too I am sensitive for a lot of meds…what are you taking now? probably try to fulfill yourself with emotions by activating yourself-books, movies, sport, going outside, seeing frriends… me, I am too depressed but I try to do some of this stuff.

Im taking zoloft and ativan which im unsure of really. I feel ill all the time now it really sucks for me.
Sounds like you have had a hard time with meds to, being a zombie is awful.
vampire, probably keep a low dose of ap, it can help in order to prevent yourself…that’s what I do now and the other thing is that I try to think of something else other than my illness. but its hard yes, I am depressed also like you :(…

You seem like a cool person who understand, I get brutal side effect from APs.
@vampireeye are you currently on APs?
Stop the complaining already, if you think their poison then don’t take them, but enough with the anti medication rants!

Im not anti med anything, im not on an AP right now. Working with zoloft and ativan.
