I can play some simple stuff pretty good and I can read standard notation and tab, but some of the complex pieces are still too advanced for me. 5 1/2 months at 49 years old is just the tip of the iceberg in learning guitar, I think. I will probably still be learning stuff at 60, if I can stick with it. I wish I wouldve started earlier in my life.
Plus, I suck with a pick, I cant do fingerpicking yet, takes me forever to learn complex strums, Don’t know chords very well, cant upstroke strum for crap, bends are hard for me…etc , etc… Like I said, long way to go. Gonna be years of learning. I am pretty good at single notes and reading notation , though.
