The abstract doesn’t say, but it’s a meta analysis, which means it’s a study of studies. Probably the range of doses is in the full text, but that’s behind a paywall.

The usual range I have seen is 1,800 to 2,400 mg a day in divided doses.

I only take 600mg a day, most days and I find it improves my mood considerably. There have been studies saying it can work as an anti-depressant and that seems to be the case with me. It makes my dreams more surreal though.

Good stuff in my opinion, whereas l theanine made my mind feel a little limited.

Q: What does “epub ahead of print” mean?

“Epub ahead of print” means that the article is being listed electronically before it is available in print. You may not be able to access the electronic version of the article until it is released in print. Articles in PubMed are often epub ahead of print.
