My wedding ring set cut into my finger in the middle of the night

I’m not able to wear them for a while because they literally cut me

That looks like what I get when I have an allergic reaction to the metal. I have a nickel allergy and it’s in a lot of jewelry. You may need something nickel free

@LilyoftheValley it’s gold though

Could be mixed with nickel. Even the stuff labeled and sold as gold can be mixed.

Gold usually has nickel in it

@anon4362788 @LilyoftheValley well that stinks… I wore my engagement ring for months and months with no reaction… My mom thinks my fingers swell in the middle of the night and I took the rings off in the middle of the night… I don’t remember doing any of that but this morning I thought I lost my rings and my husband found them in the bed

It took me a while of wearing jewelry that had nickel in it before I started to react. I’m glad you found your rings.

@LilyoftheValley thanks I’m glad too… My mom passed them down to me

You can coat the inside of the rings with some clear fingernail polish and it might help cut down on the reaction

I react to every ring, even my hypoallergenic silicone ring. I have just resigned myself to only wearing my wedding ring on special occadions.

I always take my rings off before I sleep. I was told that your body swells a little during the night.
