I have made an appointment to organise some blood tests
Good idea, I worry about diabetes also, as my family has a history of type two.
I have blurry eyes, but i think its from the clozapine !!
Also, you may want to get an eye exam. I have had to get glasses in the last two years or so. My eyesight isn’t good at a distance. They also do a diabetic eye test to make sure the diabetes isn’t harming my eyes. So far i’m good.
i recently got glasses, it helps and sometimes its hard to tell if its a side effect of meds as well. have you changed dose recently or missed a dose or anything?
No, my vision has been getting worse for years now. It’s age mostly. It was already starting even when i was off meds. I am diabetic but they check my eyes and that isn’t a problem.
sorry i was talking to jim, no worries
oops! My bad.
my friend Christian has diabetes type 2 but he has better than 20/20 vision
I upped one of the meds a few weeks ago. That could be it
While the most common cause of blurry vision is uncorrected eyeglass needs, diabetes can affect the clarity of the lens and the architecture of the retina with bleeding and vascular changes, all of which can cause blurriness. Diabetics should have an annual examination by an ophthalmologist as most of these changes are treatable if caught before permanent damage.
It could be just the AP causing blurry vision @anon94176359.
But it’s a good idea to have blood tests taken, to be on the safe side.
if it gets better its probably just getting use to the med
Plus I took my evening meds 2 hours ago and this blurriness has come on since then
the meds affect the muscles in the eye but if it persists then tell the dr or book an eye test
When my.blood sugar goes higher my vision gets blurry. I have stress induced blood sugar highs. My mother was a fragile diabetic and her mother was diabetic so I worry a lot, but unless I’m stressed my sugar levels are low n ormal. I also have astigmatism.
Risperdal gave me blurry vision.
I can’t see far away objects too well, things are out of focus.
I wear prescription glasses when I leave the house.
That sucks! Blurry vision is really annoying. On clozaril i needed reading glasses and on wellbutrin i constantly had to ‘Widen’ my eyes to see clearer for longer distances.
Hopefully its not diabetes though. Best of luck with the tests.
That’s one of the symptoms I get when I begin to get psychotic.
Did you take your meds?
Yeah took my meds.
Think it might be partly dry eyes. I have had my bedroom fan on which can dry my eyes. Just put some eye drops in and it is a bit better
