I think that means I’ll be getting my stimulus tomorrow. Or possibly the next day, but it’s close and I’m excited. I really need that money. My daughter has been costing me so much I need to payoff credit card debt. I don’t like owing a balance. I would have liked to have paid money extra on my loan but sometimes things don’t workout the way we would like them to.
im going to buy a backpack blower. so i can blow all the leaves over the creek bank in the fall. they are so much easier to operate than a handheld leaf blower. and the rest im giving to mom and dad to pay off my mortgage faster. i will only spend $300 to $400 dollars and give the rest to mom and dad.
More than half of it will go to paying income taxes from my previous state and city. I am going to try to tuck away $200 until tattoo shops open back up. I want to have a little fun with part of it. The little bit left I will just hold onto, as I am going to be flat broke soon, after this semester is over.
I want to get a treble clef that contains a bass clef within it. It will be small, maybe 4.5" tall, on the lower part of my left calf. I’m working on a half sleeve, if it can be called that, on that leg.
To the best of my knowledge, irs.gov is the real website for the IRS, so they will not steal your info.
That said, this situation is ripe for scammers. The IRS will never call, text or email you. If you receive anything in the mail claiming to be from the IRS, including a check, verify its authenticity by calling the IRS (1-800-829-1040) before doing anything.
Also, this check is called the Economic Impact Payment (EIP), not “stimulus check,” “stimulus,” or anything else.
I’m doing nothing right now because there’s too much confusion for me. The “Get My Payment” portal seems to be just for people who filed a tax return in the last two years. For non-filers (like me), you’re directed to another portal, which then sends you to another website, which the IRS says is secure.
I’m going to wait at least one week when, hopefully, the process will be much clearer.
