I have a blog set up but I don’t know what to post other than holiday pics … I want to post about autism and sza though but I’m a bit reluctant specially as people can easily find me. My blog is firstname .com

My blog is on my own domain and server. I can do whatever I like.

I still use Google domains although they sold that to another company

Nice work starting up the blog!

I have a political blog (and started one on creativity, and another on loose subdomains of science, like psychology and computer science)

Mainly the trick for me is to just have a small threshold of what to post, and to keep posting

For me it was 500 words. So if i write something that’s 500 words, i would publish it. Now i have 20+ posts on my political blog

It could be 100-200 words a post to start with – just write when you feel like you want to write something about sza or autism. When you hit over 100 words (not a lot), you press publish. Next time you have another idea or thought, you write down everything that comes to mind, then when you hit 100 words, you hit publish again.

I have stopped and started multiple blogs over the years before i settled on this one

I like blogging over twitter etc. because you can control how your site looks and you can post how much you want, and add pictures along the way, and add headings and lengthy quotes

I don’t think that people will find you easily if it doesn’t have first name, and if you don’t share the links with people you know, to start with

But also if you speak about sza and autism, that shouldn’t be too identifying. Other people have sza and autism here. It could be others and not specifically you.

I used to run one of those with a friend. We eventually shut it down because it was making us both depressed…
