Don’t watch TV or follow the news much. Only post on this forum. No movies or newspapers, and I don’t own a cell phone.
I work in the morning…shoot hoops with my girls…play guitar…play scrabble…cook…tennis…walking with hon…
I’ve really toned it down recently and find I am happier. It’s all suiting me just fine.
I actually feel sorry for many of my friends…all wired up with bells and whistles always going off around them. No thanks, not for me.
I’m so glad for you that you’ve made those decisions. The news is not good for me, either. I’ve been staying away also, and I’ve felt much more stable as a result.
I suppose if I ran a small business, I’d need the cell phone and Twitter/ Facebook…etc.
But I’m glad right now to be a nobody, enjoying raising my girls and leading a simpler life.
I’m sure your family is very grateful for all the extra love and attention.
That’s very true. I think I still have a small window in which to hang out with my daughters. They are going into grade 9, and will be less dependent on me in the coming years for entertainment and play.
Gotta make hay before they go and get all grown up on me!
If they’re anything like me, they won’t ever get sick of hanging out with their dad.
