My life is better now

My life is better overall, because I’m working out now. When I work out, it gives me something to do. Also I have a friend now. I used to have zero friends.

Did you visit new places? Gym? Work? Clubs? I would like some new friends, but I don’t know where to look

I kept trying as it gets, to get friends… and I still didn’t get any more friends. Then I got friends without even trying to. You still can get a friend with trying, though.

I had friends before sz bcz I went out of my house. But now I have none bcz I never get out of my house.

I don’t have any friends either. I only leave my apartment twice a week but that’s only to meet with people from my mental health team.

You see your psychiatrist twice a week?

No. I have a mental health team and one woman comes over on Wednesdays to walk down the street and back with me for 20 minutes and one guy comes over on Thursdays to see how things are going with me and to give me movies to borrow for the week.

Oh that’s good, we don’t have that here in Canada. There’s no psych nurses either. Only psychiatrists and social workers. I don’t feel social enough to talk to someone other than my psychiatrist so I don’t see a social worker. I see my psychiatrist once every 2 months but haven’t seen him since February due to lockdown, only on the phone.

That’s great @Jake . I would like to start working out. My Dr. is making it so I can get a 2 bedroom apartment so I can get some exercise equipment in one of the rooms and as soon as I do I’m going to start working out. Until then I’ll just be trying to get in the habit of walking. I feel better when I do something too. I’m glad you made a friend. There’s a gal at group that is trying to be friends with me but she’s sort of weird so I don’t know.
