My kitten is not very playful, she’s also sleeping a lot

My 10 month 2 week old kitten doesn’t seem to be very playful.
I try to engage her with a fishing wand toy but she shows very little interest.
She played with her cat nip filled toy mice for a little while but then stopped.
She sleeps most of the day but seems to be more alert at dusk and during the evening hours.
Otherwise she’s eating normally and using her litter box.
Shes purring and seems healthy and happy.

Is sleeping so much normal for cats?

Yeah. That’s pretty normal if they are indoors. If they go outdoors they will hunt.

Mine like to play with string and one likes to chase paper balls. Just crunch up a piece of paper and she will chase it when thrown. She can’t see too well. Has cateracts but she can hear the paper.

My cats are both 14.

Ok thanks @TomCat
I also read that some cats aren’t that playful.

Yeah I am learning that cats sleep a lot much more than dogs.

My cat Nico doesn’t play much but he chases Bella around. Now Bella is very playful. I wouldn’t worry too much.

Very normal and they will be active in the evening hours and sometimes you may here them bopping around in the middle of the night.

Our Tigger does not play much. Charles will chase around those balls with bells in them whenever he feels like it.

Oh ok it’s good to know.
It also seems that she’s not much of a climber but more of a burrower.
Hiding in the cat condo and behind my hamper in a corner and under the bed.

Thanks @ThePickinSkunk
