My friend recently relapsed in alcohol

He’s so freaking annoying to me now every time he drinks he makes an FN fool of himself. He takes klonopin at the beginning of drinking and he’s so stupid he blacks out right away and doesn’t remember ■■■■. Starts falling all over himself, being annoying af. Calling me names. Then I go to leave because he’s pissing the hell off of me and he starts cussing at me and calling me names and trying to guilt trip me too for leaving. I’m gonna call him out because it’s annoying as hell. Most annoying person in the world after mixing any alcohol with benzo. Which is bad btw. His safety’s a concern and I don’t wanna hang out with a belligerent ■■■■■■■. I might not choose the best way to call him out but Im definitely gonna get my point across

Ps he takes clozaril too and abilify as well. And probably something else.

He’s sza like many of us.

And he works as a recovery support specialist. Supposed to be sober

Well, he’s certainly not doing much for his own recovery that’s for sure. I would be very concerned about the mixing of alcohol and sedating drugs together. So many deaths are caused by the combination of these two, and he should know that. Is he still under the influence? Or has this episode passed?

It’s morning now. He’s probably still sleeping (or maybe not, just guessing) but the influence has probably passed for the most part.

It’s a frustrating situation. I’m not so innocent either, but not 1/6th as bad as him. So he thinks he’s justified. But he’s not so I gotta tell him how it is.

Yea it sucks I was hooked on benzos and alcohol together.

Made a fool of myself and became annoying and irritating aswell.

Funny he works as a recovery support specialist and gets so hammered lol

Yeah, maybe a good dose of reality is what he needs to get back on the straight and narrow. Good luck with that conversation. Hopefully, he’ll take his position a bit more seriously. It isn’t a good luck to be a recovery specialist and not being able to actually recover from your own addictions.

I’m gonna say something like “look you had ur fun blah blah blah but if you cant handle alcohol without taking a klonopin and making a fool of yourself blah blah blah I highly suggest you quit drinking blah blah blah especially since you’re a recovery support specialist blah blah blah ;)”

I asked him if he was awake first before I lay it on him. Lol joking about the blah blah blahs

From the gist of your proposed conversation, that looks like the way to go. Lol!
