My sister is the only family I’ve got left. Her husband just lost his sister, so his wife is the only one he has left. My sister will be 80 tomorrow. They’re going to be celebrating this weekend. They do have two daughters and two grandsons. I hardly know their kids so I’m really feeling my age and lack of connections. It’s a good thing I have this home. I’ve been here 18 years and that’s about as homey as I can get.

@PinCushion you made me cry a little while reading that…sorry about the family not left much. I too am losing family as I grow older…just lost my dad. still have my mom. she’s the only one except siblings left. I don’t know how I’ll handle it when mom goes…anyways…so sorry really.

It’s only natural to die. The best thing you can do is to be prepared the best you can - physically, financially and emotionally. And realize that when one is old and frail, dying is welcome.

@PinCushion you have wisdom…it shows…my mother is wise like that…yes you’re really right about growing old…once you get a certain age all you think about is when you’ll be gone I think…mortal we are.
