My day got worse

I need a bit of distraction.

What was the last nice thing someone did for you?

Last nice thing

Am I ungrateful or I just can not think of something?!

Last nice thing was actually really funny. I was asleep and my cat just was leaning on me with her tummy and I remember in my sleep, i thought this cat is so soft! Lol I am grateful to have this cat I guess 99% of the time

My friend yesterday turned me down when I offered to buy him an ice cream
He knows I’m not exactly rich right now…
So his gesture was nice and considerate, but I would’ve wanted him to accept that goddam ice cream… :icecream:

My friend wanted to take me out for food, so she treated me to buffalo wild wings and then got me a michelada, too! after that, she paid for us to play pool and bought me another drink! She’s a sweetheart. I wish I had the money to buy her stuff, too!

One of the guys here in my house who’s about ten year older than me (He fought in Vietnam which impressed me) is always friendly to me. I really don’t know who to trust anymore but this guy seems sincere and he just seems like a nice humble guy. I have many bad days but when he sees me he cheers me up without even knowing it with his friendliness.

Someone treated me to Starbucks.

Some anonymous person left a big chocolate freckle that said Thanks on my desk with a lovely note saying how much they appreciated me. No one has owned up to leaving it for me. IT’s a mystery.

My co-person got a Snuggle Kitty for my high-anxiety cat. It has a heartbeat to comfort her by reminding her of snuggling with her mother. So far it has seen her safely through garbage day and a thunderstorm :scream_cat:

That just goes to show you that you can be a success as a human being even if your circumstances are humble.

I talked to an old friend on the phone today

That was really nice.

I have been very stressed lately, and I tend to be a talker. My friends have been very kind in listening to me repeat the same things over and over obsessively, and reassuring me that I can handle everything.

I send my best friend my doodles in marker and colored pencil…mostly stuff that looks psychedelic with “the beach boys” written above it…or a rolling stones tongue and lips with daisies surrounding it…he loves them and he has a collection of everything I’ve given him…I love this guy and his family !!

@mermaid1, I noticed what you said you ate today. I would feel awful too, if all I had was some chocolate, French fries, and a bit of chicken. Malnutrition can have a very negative impact on your mood. I’ve noticed my mood is much more stable ever since I started eating a large, protein-rich breakfast. Do you at least take vitamins?

I swear I do. Most days I eat a lot. I am very depressed lately. I am exhausted and ‘forcing myself’ through everything. I do not move much during the day other than some cleaning so if I eat 1200 calories, it is enough.

I will start gym soon so I will have to eat better. Just trying to get my fix with L Theanine, honestly I can no longer tolerate the anxiety. I am emotionally exhausted.

Have you thought about protein shakes for the days when you can’t force yourself to eat? Most of them are packed with vitamins. They’re not a perfect solution, but they could help on your bad days.

my parents do a lot of good things to me.
I am infinitely grateful to them.

awwww your co-person spent forty bucks on a little stuffed animal to soothe your cat? That is TOO CUTE!
I had to see what this snuggle kitty was about, so I’ve been reading amazon reviews. I’m wondering if maybe my high-octane cat will be soothed to quit bouncing off the walls if I were to get this for him, too! It’s an investment, at 40, but hey, I just spent 15 on a velvety cat bed that my cat refuses to use, so throwing money away at my cat isn’t a deterrent. lol.

Also, your cat is adorable and has pupils the size of dishes.
