I got my tax refund today. A $1000. I want to spend it. My dad would have told me, “Don’t pee it all away”. What he meant was, don’t just blow it and waste a lot of it with nothing to show for it.
But that’s exactly what I’m going to do. My sister suggested that I take $200 of it and go to a real good concert. A concert sounds OK but instead I’m going to pay down my credit card and take $200 and buy tacos at Jack-in-the-Box when I feel like it. I’ll go to a couple of movies maybe. I’ll go to the museums and out to eat. Maybe some new socks or a new t-shirt. I’l buy a few CD’s for my car stereo. Buy some soda and cookies if I feel like it. Magazines or a book. Just go to the Amazon.com website and shop and buy something totally frivolous. I can’t wait!
