So mothers day out here in the Antipodes and twas a busy day. Ended up going down to mums little memorial not too far from here. It’s in a kinda bush setting and is rather nice. It gets some wildlife and I wish I took a picture of the sign warning that because it’s natural to beware of snakes. You still see some kangaroo poo and I’ve seen kangaroo’s going into the memorial.
Anyways. It was nice. Mum is gone two years but plenty of flowers and we did most of the brothers but sis and other bro went through earlier. We went to a new venue for us close by and it was busy as heck but the food was good and talk and all was top shelf. Ate later though so not really hungry tonight. Had the burger. I rate places on the quality of the burger…twas a decent burger!
So. Happy mum’s day to all those who are mum’s and to all your family as well!
I’m glad you got to go to the memorial…my mom is still alive and they had a party for her yesterday…thought it was today…undecided if I will still go over…it’s about forty five mins. away and my fuel pump has been acting up…
The mother/ child bond is the strongest in Nature.
Cheers to all of those wonderful, caring and loving Moms on this special day! My dear old Mom is 85 years old and still calls me ‘Patty-Pooh’. I guess you’re always your parent’s little child at heart.
My wife is also a mother, so I picked her up a little something as well.
