she fell getting in a vehicle and now I don’t know if she will be able to help me…she was supposed to meet me tomorrow and give me the electric bill money and money for haircuts…I’m sure she will be able to help later…best just not think about it until she has her surgery on her wrist next week.

I sympathyze with your situation because I was once dependent on my Mother and had to help her when she had two operations before I left home. Later when I had my own apartment she was trying to get me to follow her to another city where her boyfriend lived when she broke her arm. Fortunately her boyfriend (who didn’t want me around as it was) took care of her and took me back to my apartment. Otherwise it would have been a much worse nightmare for me. I hope that your Mom gets better soon and I hope her injury reminds you that a Plan B is always a good idea when your parent is taking care of you.

@JustTrish I do feel selfish and I apologized to mom when I reminded her of the electric bill…she said it was o k and she understood…sorry for offending you.

That’s not an apology. You apologize for a behavior not for the offense someone feels.
I understand feeling scared and hopeless when a bill can’t be paid. I’m very poor. It’s wrong to think of the bill first, but it happens when you have no other options. Maybe you could contact salvation army or heap.
