Mom is going with us to surgery...so relieved

It’s been really hard on our little car going out of town all the time for this procedure of c t scans and then surgery but mom said she wants to go…at least my wife won’t be alone during surgery which makes me feel safe…plus she will be driving us that day to the surgery, less wear on our car.

@anon67450902 oh thank you…I will be really nervous the day of the surgery because it’s my first one. My mom is a great comfort to me…my wife is too but my mom has wisdom when I get scared.

@LilyoftheValley well, I initially thought it was a hernia, because it acts just like a hernia but the surgeon ruled out a hernia because most hernias are lower in the abdomen and mine bumps out in my upper left side of my abdomen. so we are getting the c t scan tomorrow to see what’s going on and hopefully the surgeon will fix it soon after…sorry I’ve posted about this before so I wasn’t clear…it isn’t any dangerous surgery.

Good luck on your surgery. It is certainly scary being knocked out and being worked on. But doctors know what they are doing and im sure you are in good hands

My first and only surgery was when i was 24. I was nervous. They were operating on a torn meniscus. They ended up taking half of it out and now my knee will hurt forever more. No more cushion.

Oh yeah! I remember you worrying about having a hernia. Good luck on your CT. Whatever it is, I hope it’s really easy to correct

I have this vision of waking up a woman…I heard a horror story where a man woke up a woman after they mistakenly gave him a sex change…but other that that PHOBIA…not fear…I trust the doctor…I hope I get to see the actual surgeon beofre surgery.
