My pdoc probably recognizes my ADD symptoms and has recommended Modafinil off-label for them. Has anyone taken Modafinil under these circumstances (off-label for ADD?). I read good reviews online on drugs.com off label for ADD.

My former pdoc once wanted me to try modafinil for my negatives.
I researched it a bit and know it helps to stay awake but can cause psychosis due to its activating nature.
I chose not to try it.

Yeah, but the ADD symptoms are killing me. Got to try it.
With negatives, it is hard to say it will work, but on drugs.com it is rated 7.7/10 off-label for ADHD.

I should mention I don’t have ADHD.
So probably it’s different in your case.

If anyone who has taken it/takes it, his input would be even more helpful.
I have taken it before. It didn’t do a lot for me in comparison to the adderall I was prescribed pre-diagnosis. It did work, it felt like my brain was more consistently alert than normal, but barely.
Problem was it was difficult to fall asleep. I didn’t feel wired, but got insomnia. Wasn’t worth it overall so I got off of it.

And, what about other side effects, such as, weight loss, sex drive, etc?
My libido increased a lot on it. Dunno if that’s common.
As far as weight loss, I didn’t take it for longer than a couple months so I’m not sure. My appetite was stymied a little bit.

i pretty sure i took modafinil before but i cant remember why. i think i was extremely drugged up at the time and thats prob why i cant remember why and probably the reason i took it. so yeah i guess i cant even tell u much about it so idk why im even reply haha but i will reply anyway
