My pdoc put me on mirtazipine for sleep what should I expect from this med will it help?

For me it causes me to stay up all night, very restless, tossing and turning. I don’t like it at all.

In my case it was very good for sleeping, I got off it because it made me oversleep.
For the first months it usually also cause a lot of hunger.

I hated that med. didn’t make me sleep. Made me hungry and lost my libido.
Terrible drug for me.

It helps me anxiety wise but I’m scared of addiction to it. I think I can handle it for night time. I’m sorry y’all have issues with it.

I had no problems with addiction from this med, came off it very easily. @roxanna

i take it for anxiety. it sometimes makes me sleepy. i need to go to sleep to shake off an anxiety attack at night, so that drug is what i take to hope i can fall asleep sooner. it’s not that effective for anxiety or sleep, but sometimes it helps a little.

I sleep well on 15 mg. Very vivid dreams, and no sexual dysfunction. And no hangovers like on seroquel.
But no antidepressant effect in my case.
