Do any of you fine people have smart watches ?

What are your experiences with it ?

Do you recommend getting one ?

Me and my bro want to get my dad a smart watch for christmas; were debating if he’ll like it.

Thoughts?

I’ve a hybrid. Mine is a fitbit with the gps etc. It’s sort of a smart fitness tracker.

Was debating the apple watch. Could have got one for a little more but figured out that with a decent iphone I don’t need the added things a smart watch has that I’ll use. I’d say it’s a good buy but depends on the old man and how savvy he is with tech…

I’d do it in a heartbeat if they are tech savvy. It’s some seriously good kit!

Ive been temped to get a smart watch - cos i found out some can actually run spotify - which would be perfect for the ear-buds listening to music when i have to goto busy places, instead of taking out my galaxy s10 - which im paranoid that i would get mugged for round here…

Seen them for about £200 - so i would have to save my pennies!

I think it was a total waste of money. But I might start using it again I don’t know.

I just hardly ever use it cause you have to charge it every day. Or night. And I never end up charging it.

Yes. You can text. Make phone calls. There are apps for it that monitor your sleep or how many steps you take during the day.

I have seen the big bad ‘G’ posts in a few threads and I have a guess to the meaning but will just sit back and watch the show play out, I kinda like not understanding fully other people’s inside jokes, makes them more entertaining
