I'm buying a new watch

I’m waiting for the watch shop to get it delivered and I’m going to try it on. Its not an expesnive watch. I may need a few bracelet links putting in. What do you think of the watch?

I think it looks nice. :tada::tada::tada:

That’s pricey for a non-smart watch.

Can’t you get the same look cheaper?

Oh jeez - ok. It looks nice.

I prefer a smart watch to monitor my health, especially my heart rate.

I have a generation 5 Apple Watch already. I like it alot but want something that does not need charging.

my watch costs nothing, never needs to be wound or charged. There’s a building with a clock on it I can view outside my window.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE and find receiving emails, text messages and notifications extremely convenient. Also, I use Samsung Pay + NFC to pay for tangible goods at the POS terminal. Lastly, controlling the tracks on my music playlist as well as volume control is awesome. Not to mention the health features of steps and heart rate monitoring. On occasion I will make phone calls using my smartwatch.

Downside is charging the smartwatch every night as @bobbilly has said.

Tag heuer makes good watches

I like Tag heuer. But out my price range but I would have one if I could afford one. I like Omega the most.

Not a smart watch in more ways than one.

I think old style analog watches are a waste of money. A smart watch, with many different functions, is a better investment. Just my thoughts.

I think smart watches are a worse investement. After 3 years the batteries in them are about dead. A nice proper analog watch will last years and years.

I myself don’t see the point of owning a watch that just tells time these days for me personally. Clocks are everywhere. Phones killed the need for watches that are exclusively used as time pieces IMO. Why do I need a watch when I’m carrying a phone with the time on it in my pocket anyway? I haven’t bought a watch in years.

Edit: But if it works for you, and you enjoy it, that’s great.

Edit: I should note that I did get a free fitbit from my insurance, but I’ve never used it.
