My lack of focus seems to be independent of the SZA I have, as the antipsychotic doesn’t help with this issue. I was diagnosed ADD prior to being diagnosed with SZ. I know that stimulants are not an option, as they exacerbate psychosis. I saw a few people mention on here that they have been prescribed other types of meds that have helped with attention span. I’m wondering what those are and what my options could be.
I’m on Caplyta, and Effexor/Lamictal for depression. Also take trazodone at night. I’m starting to think that I need to talk to my doc about the possibility of adding something that can help me engage in activities longer than 10min.
Vyvance. Ive seen a guy on vyvance he was very intense. But maybe that was him. My buddy took it on antipsychotics too. I think it’s safe
Vyvanse is a stimulant unfortunately, don’t think it’d work for me :\
Yeah idk. I’m just trying to do everything the natural way. Supplements and. And a healthy lifestyle. But Abilify might be helping

I take 80 mg of atomoxetine daily. It helps with focus and attention and that. But im currently having trouble with apathy towards everything so i struggle to get invested in anything which sucks. But thats more from the sza and antipsychotic stuff. Seeing my doc this week to see if any changes can be made.

Maybe try taking b-vitamins, fish oil, and you could try bacopa monieri, which is called the student herb because it increases attention.
Clonidine, guanfacine are strattera are all safe options.

Thank you. I just checked these out, and will mention them to my doc.
