I am going take a flight into my dreams
The most beautiful night sky, in my mind anyway, is on a winter night, when it is snowing, and there are ice crystals everywhere. On the ground, in the shrubs, in the trees and in the air. Utter enchantment. I like taking walks on nights like this.

that sounds so beautiful but I like the summer sky because everything is grown and green and it is warm you can wear short sleeves when you sit out on a field for long enough to hear a great horned owl hooting. some of my best memories come from this setting

The sky here in Cape Town has been cloudy and rainy for the past few days. Almost winter here, short days and long nights. We have been thru a severe drought and the rainy season has started with gusto. I’m thrilled - the rain fills me with wonder and thanks to God for His mercy to our parched city 
Smell of summer brings me the fondest memories of my childhood…
Btw, anyone owns a telescope?
I used to own a telescope when I was a teenager, back in 1999-2002, a 4’5’’ inch Newtonian reflector, was sad when my dad had to sell it. Saw the rings of Saturn thru it. Nowadays have a pair of binoculars but use them mostly for birdwatching.

Telescopes are expensive, especially those stronger reflectors (with which you can see Andromeda I’m guessing and hoping )
