Why the hell are cigarettes still legal then ??

They kill way more people.

Makes no sense !!

Exactly. If I had known this was going into place I would have bought more vape juice so I wouldn’t go back to cigs. I guess we’ll see what happens

Connecticut borders might be crowded if they sell vapes there

Funny people from Connecticut go to mass for pot. And vice versa for vapes

It’s a strange world, California wants to ban all cigarettes and vapes, but we just legalized marijuana. The city of Oakland just decriminalized the use of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Couple idiots die from smoking and drinking, no one bats an eye, couple people die from vaping and it’s a public outcry. I don’t get where the line is.

I think it’s good that he banned these things.

Guns kill a lot more than vaping. My brother vapes and at least he doesn’t reak of cigarettes anymore.

This isn’t totally relevant, but the topic reminded me of this:

More kids have died in ICE custody than from vaping. Wish they’d do something about that!

It is based on media attention, not actual hazard to health.

Because if the government banned cigarettes, then they’d have to spend a whole lot of money paying for programs to help people quit, not to mention the fact that they’d lose donations from tobacco companies, as well as the companies who sell products that help people quit smoking. Besides, smoking is one of those things that nearly all interest groups partake in. It’d be political suicide. The only reason anyone is doing anything about vaping is because they can spin it and say that it’s to protect children. That’s another thing that all interest groups have in common, loving children.

Politicians have to focus on the issues that’ll get them reelected, because they can’t do anything at all without the power that comes with holding public office. I don’t think it’s because they don’t care, you know? I think it’s because there are, for lack of a better phrase, bigger and better problems that need solving than people choosing to inhale things that literally tell you that they cause cancer on the actual box. It’s not like it’s a big fat secret, after all.

It’s unfortunate and it’s unfair, but I can’t say I don’t understand it.
