On a more serious note I liked the positive messages in some of the songs of the band when Sammy Hagar was the front man just as much as I liked the funny and cool things from the David Lee Roth years. For instance “Get Up”, “What Dreams are Made of”, “Right Now”, and “Human Beings” are cool songs to play when you feel down.

I never heard of them until about 1982 when I was about 21 years old. The kid next door mentioned them and I said, “Who’s that”? I think my esteem went down in his eyes because they were pretty popular at that time.
