Making concrete changes , what changes should you make?

I can’t change everything about my lifestyle overnight, but I’ve found that with the Paleo Diet and waking up early, my mindset is different. I went from cowering away trying to merely leave the house to driving myself to the grocery store and getting my own food, and talking to people. And tomorrow semester dos begins. I am taking three classes. English, World Religions, and 60s culture. I’m overthinking as usual and I’m not looking forward to the inevitable self-consciousness but things are getting slowly better.

I always think if you can go to school/ college it’s a bonus in life.
But your doning well leaving your house Nd going shopping.
Have you got a therapist that has really helped me LOL

Man I just got lazy having not been posting on here so much. It is cool to see you are still around. The user base does really change a lot over time.

Yes, it’s hard to keep track of everybody. Sometimes someone leaves who I am very familiar with and I don’t notice. I think I’m insulting them. Anyways, how are you? Did you manage to buy the ranch out in the country to get away from it all?

Nah not yet. Going to be changing my line of work here soon. Picking up some evening driving shifts and just continue to work on my long term stability and capacity to maintain a schedule. Try to start putting money aside. Getting tips as compensation really does help me relax. A bit of a money stream for food and cigs.

I’ll have to work the job for a couple weeks to see how the pay pans out.

Got review for disability next month.

Keep taking those baby steps @nomad. Make sure to keep things progressing, because if you are like me you are going to fall onto seeing progress as a coping mechanism.

We’re young folks with a lot of potential who get sold short with this Sz crap. Hurts like mad to know we’ve lost our potency.

the only recent concrete change I’ve made was that I stopped watching pr0n about 3 months ago.

it’s not your fault. I wish the site had something like a “Followers” or “Favorites” feature, so that we can keep track of people who we like on this site. but Discourse doesn’t have that. So I just make bookmarks:

  1. Prioritize the changes you want to make in your life (most important to least important)
  2. Arrange the changes in chronological order (some things can be done right away while others may take years)
  3. Write everything down in a planner (you’re much more likely to do something if you write it down)
  4. Don’t be afraid to rearrange the plan if need be
  5. Keep at it
