Makeup-yes or no?

Girls (or guys too I suppose, if you’re into it) do you like wearing makeup? I hate it. I guess my eyes are really sensitive because it really irritates them any time I have it on. And when you have it on you can’t rub your eyes if you get something in them because it messes it up. And foundation and all that you are supposed to put on your skin makes me break out. So why would I bother? I only put it on for special occasions and even then I don’t put on much, eyeliner, eyeshadow and maybe some lipstain?

It seems these days girls are really into makeup and do all this crazy stuff for it but I don’t have the patience or time for that :joy:

I have always loved doing my hair and make-up. I played with make-up when I was a little girl before I could actually wear it. I enjoyed decorating myself and others (if they would let me).
I don’t do my make-up and hair nearly as much since I have been MI. My whole life has changed. One big change is less attention to my appearance. I also quit working out and gained weight (due to meds)
I really enjoy decorating myself (hair and make-up). I am just too tired. Can’t seem to get into the groove anymore.

My mom practically forced me to start wearing makeup when I was in middle school. I’ve always been a very practical girl and didn’t see the point. Then for a while because I had really critical friends I was hugely self conscious of my appearance and never allowed myself to be seen without makeup, even at sleepovers I’d sleep with it on. When I got away from those people I started returning to my old comfortable self and stopped caring again. I stopped wearing it regularly almost 2 years ago. No regrets at all.

“Makeup-yes or no?”

poll please…

lol lol just kidding.

Ya, make-up isn’t for everyone. I think what is important is that people feel comfortable in their own skin. That’s unfortunate your mom ‘forced’ you to wear it. make-up is not a requirement for being female.
I enjoy make-up but I know women who simply don’t want anything on their skin. That’s cool. To each her own.

I do my makeup once a week or so.

Often I will wear only lipstick :lipstick: and no other makeup.
Lipstick can add some softness, colour and protect from weather.

I did my makeup today although I’m just at home all day with my bf .
I’ve been cleaning and baking today and he has been sitting by computer.

We have not interacted that much but I gave him a bun freshly baked and he seemed to like that.

I even wore :high_heel:. High heels but I can’t wear them for long cause it hurts the feet.
But they are stunning shoes.stiletto.

There is vegan make up you could find through peta that might help.

There’s also permanent make up such as tattood lipstick but then your stuck with that one colour.

Search on line cause there re other options for those with sensitive skin.

Max factor lipfinity last all day and can give a bit of colour.

My hygienist oral asked what lipstick I was wearing because it did not come off despite her wiping my lips with paper towel etc.

I wear other brands too.
Lush has nice colours and they are all in to being ethical environment friendly etc
I have a revlon one and few others too.

Lancôme is my favourite mascara.
I use foundation from the body shop at the moment.
Eyeshadow was a gift .

Kanebo has a great powder that covers my freckles and skin looks so soft but unfortunately it also seems to make me look wrinkled and brings forth my wrinkles more.
A loved when I wore kanebo as he wasn’t fussed about my freckles and preferred when I could cover them.

I wanted to try eye lash extensions that last two months or so but my bf said it’s too expensive at this point in time cause we better use that money on my car.

Wearing make up does not make me feel more beautiful or happy but I might look better when I wear it according to some .

My mum that raised me dies her lashes and brows darker but mine are naturally black.
I think my real father is very dark and black haired.
My real parents are different.

I’ve never been a regular make-up wearer but recently my skin started having this weird rash problem and concealer covers it up very well.

this is sorta outta context with this but my doctor said something like I think shes leaving to get pretty. when I left his office the other time I was there with him and I thought that was really weird I think he was talking about another patient because I don’t wear makeup. an there are other patients that really do it up.

Hi Anna,
I wear makeup when I’m not going to the gym. I wear liquid foundation, brow gel, and lipstick red, pink, or burgundy depending what I’m wearing. I think people look good with a little blush and lip stain.

I often hear Bible change lives but did not know that MI can change a person’s life.
