I’m thinking of growing a beard. To those that have them, how do you maintain them?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
What is the world coming to!?
My beard doesn’t grow too pretty after 8mm or so, so I keep it trimmed to 5mm. Not really a ‘beard’ and not much to it other then trimming it every week. A smooth shave never goes all that smoothly for me though, I hate the razorburn.
What do you use to trim it?
You can simply use clippers with the appropriate sized comb (the plastic guard that clips on the end of the clippers) to ensure that your beard is a uniform length. Use scissors to trim it elsewhere.
I typically shave my head and face bald twice a month at the same time with clippers. Then just let them grow out until I shave it the next time. Sometimes I might go a couple months before I shave and might actually have to trim the beard and mustache a little bit.
It beats the heck out of getting up every morning, styling your hair and shaving your face.
Ah Cmon dude! I’m eager to see what I look like with a full time beard. But avolition might get in the way though. or it just might look bad.
I looked it up in google translate, it;s called clippers in english
I’m just jealous because I look like a hobo when my facial hair gets too long.
My friend who has a full beard uses scissors to maintain it.
I trim my beard short with an electric clipper every second week. I don’t like to shave with a razor and I also don’t like a long beard.
Yes, it could go wrong and I could look like a hobo. But I’m eager to give it a go some day soon. I think it might be more complicated than I first thought though.
I don’t like beards much but get quite facially hairy because I forget to use the electric shaver for days and days.
Yes! Grow a beard! Beards are great!
Mr Turtle uses smallish clippers to keep his trimmed and then a razor to shape off the wolverine parts that grow up his cheeks.
Pics! (I know you won’t do that)
Probably not unfortunately!!
I have a short trimmed goatee. I use mini scissors to trim it once a week. sure beats shaving all that.
The world isn’t ready for me, with a beard, yet!
The easiest way to maintain a beard is to shave it off.
The shout heard around the world.
A beard can be so beautiful.
Not sure if it suits all people but the people it does suit it can be rather stunning.
Some people have beard variations and designs and trimmings which is probably high maintenance and gives a completely different look really to the long traditional beard.
I might have a thing for long hair and beard on men but it may not suit all men a man can be stunning with out it also.
My x bf and also best friend I had used to shave his head and face when i first met him because he had bald spot.
I did not see him for a while and then saw him and he had long hair and stunning beard.
He looked great.
He used to wear hat on his head cause he was still bald in middle part. The hair fell down on sides.
But he may of favoured the shaved way of life.
It could be an individual thing, the feel , the look , what suits that person etc.
It may not suit every body and depends on situations etc
A beard makes you look older as well. I’m 28 and grew mine for 5 months, people finally stopped IDing me for cigarettes and alcohol…well mostly.
I had a beard for a while, didn’t really know how to trim it so it was kind of wild. Eventually I had to fly somewhere and didn’t want nazi security who I’m already afraid of thinking I was a terrorist so I shaved. I don’t like being clean shaven though, I use a trimmer to shave, just to the stubble point once a week. I also cut my own hair, I buzz it with clippers and an extension and trim the back as best I can with a mirror and the same trimmer I shave with.
