Mail order bride?

what say you? do you think they can work? I think I could make one work for awhile, but I’m not that excited about visiting my wife’s homeland and family. I think that would probably wreck the marriage

does anybody have any stats on this, do these things always end in divorce?

Marriage is supposed to be about love, because you love the other person so much that you want to spend the rest of your life with them.
Doesn’t paying some company to send you a random woman kind of defeat that purpose?

Wouldn’t you feel happier with someone you truly cared about?
If you’re just lonely, why not start with making friends with people?

Most are just looking for money, I would not even consider a site like that

I think people just use those websites to get them into the country lol

Some might actually keep them idk

Or it might be a human trafficking scheme…

yes maybe I should get some friends. I wonder how capable of love I am, i’m kind of in a lethargic funk. when I had feelings for girls I was in really good shape physically. I’m not afraid of ending up alone but it’d be nice to have someone. does it really have to be about true love? or can it be a partnership with someone you care about?

I knew a guy who had a philipine wife but I never asked him if they met online or not. what’s the difference between that and internet dating?

A lot of scammers on line and it costs a lot to bring over a bride, and most stick around long enough to get in the country permanently. They did a show on TV about it, most are just looking to get out of their country and money, not love

yeah that’s the risk, she’d get over here and leave me when she gets the chance.

The process may take a bit of money.

any idea how much were talking? I heard it was like 40k to adopt a child so I’m not sure what it would be to pay for a bride

I really don’t know much about except to say that one of the more successful schizophrenics is a guy named Bill McFee who runs and publishes a magazine centered around schizophrenia and many aspects of it. He’s based in Canada but last time I checked a year or two ago he was still going strong though I think his magazine converted to an all-online version. Anyways to get to my point, I believe he married a Filipina woman who was in one of those agencies similar to mail order brides. I think his marraige lasted a long time.

that’s interesting. first time I’ve ever heard of him.

I know my friend, who also married a Filipina women, used to say that America ruined his bride, but I never really got into a conversation with him about it. she seemed down to earth to me, she even had a job as a cashier. he got a kid out of the deal so I’d think he’d be happy. they were still together but I guess he had higher expectations or somethings.

She’ll probably want you to send money to her family back in her homeland, if you can afford that.

not now I can’t, but maybe if I get a career i’ll be able to in the future. i’m just thinking about my options if I wanted somebody someday.

Oh those foriegn women may be demure, passive and agreeable when they come to marry someone in this country but once they get a taste of America everything changes and it’s like somebody created a monster because they get the drift of what other woman have here quickly and they are going to go after the money, and all the power they can get.
