After a couple weeks without it, it has reappeared this morning.
And as I feared it is getting worse. I feel so bad, it looks awful.

Having a hard time getting her to look at me…have a better picture uploading from phone.
I found this link, i dont know if Elizabethan collar would help.
Is she touch her eyes a lot ?
No, she doesn’t touch her eyes a lot. It’s transient right now(comes and goes) and the articles I have read said they can’t do much until it is stable.
Thanks for looking up the link btw. The “warm washcloth and dog safe eyedrops” method was not mentioned in the other articles that I have read.
Is she in pain? She doesn’t look happy on the above pics.
I don’t know. An article I have read says that it is not extremely painful but some dogs may rub at it as if it were itchy.
She has not been rubbing at it. It looks bad, but it does not seem to altering her behavior in any way.
Why not take her to the vet?
Did you take Maggie to the Vet?
Yes, we take her to the vet…but like one article said, because it comes and goes there is really not much they can do until it’s stable.
“Unfortunately, surgery can only be pursued if the tear gland is actively prolapsed. If your dog’s cherry eye is transient your vet may opt to wait until it’s more consistently out.”
We are trying the warm compress method on her currently, but I don’t think she likes it much.
I’m going to call the vet and see what they say.
I used to have a dog that needed frequently an antibiotic cream in their eye. Most dogs don’t like you to touch their eyes though. Like humans I guess.
I set up an appointment for April 18th. Don’t know if she will still have it out by then or not though…
Poor Maggie, I’m sorry to hear she’s going through this. I don’t know much about the conition but hopefully the vet will be able to help.
Yeah poor Maggie.
I hope she’s not suffering much.
Hope the vet can help you little friend @Bowens .Best wishes to you and Maggie.
Thanks @anon65600981
Dogs fall apart when they get old. I would minimize the vet bills and just do what you can to keep her comfortable.
Ehh…she is not dying…she is only 3 years old.
