Made myself feel good this morning. No, you don't have to leave the room

I meant to go to church this morning but I dawdled and missed it. So quickly changing plans, I decided to take a nice Sunday drive and it was beautiful weather. I was near a Safeway and I stopped to use their bathroom and as I drove into the parking lot I noticed a figure under a blanket sleeping on the ground next to a building. I decided right then to maybe buy something in Safeway and give it to the person. So I shopped around and decided on a big bottle of orange juice, a smoothie, and a container of macaroni from the deli and a container of ambrosia (the stuff with fruit, marshmallows, coconut in some kind of sweet sauce).

So I bought the food and drove over to where the person was sleeping and walked up and said “excuse me”. The person was some guy and he woke up and I gave him the grocery’s and he thanked me and I drove home. So I would like to think I made his morning a little better and I haven’t done that in awhile and it felt good.

Good on you, @77nick77. And I know you’re not exactly swimming in money so I know you made a sacrifice to give.

I know there’s a law going around in my state that is trying to force people into treatment. I think that would help a lot. I’m a peer coach right now and I feel like that helps people too. My client gets to try out all these activities with me. good for you though! I make $12 an hour, can’t afford to buy my client more treats.
