@jukebox, governments come and go. The harm they make can always turn into some good things with the government that comes next. It’s how the balance works. A good thing can turn sour, and a sour thing can turn sweet.
Best to focus on your life, and the things you can in fact control, than to let yourself fall a victim of the division that’s going on in the world right now, between left and right. Both sides have valid points, even if some are more extreme and dangerous than others, but both sides are at fault here, for different reasons.
It’s okay to worry, I worry too, but don’t let it take over your life. There’s no point in that.
I can relate, though I was more nervous before the election. Now that the election is over, we can do nothing but live with the consequences, so there’s no reason to worry anymore. Nothing you or I can do will have any real effect on what happens. Try to focus on doing things that you have control over such as your emotiona health and how you treat other people and not worry about things you cannot control.
I’ve been feeling a bit depressed, too, but I’m trying to channel it into positive actions. I’ve been writing my representatives, and volunteering where I can to help people who will be impacted by this election. It’s not much, but it’s something. There is a new bill out there that can help us out greatly.
