I saw hepatology on my birthday today. Oh yay. But she wants a liver biopsy done on the 2nd. I am upgraded to cirrhosis of the liver and want to see how bad it is. Next step is talking transplant but I have refused that. I really want my pain to end. I don’t think it’s selfish to say that.

Hugs. I’m sorry you’re dealing with so much unfair stuff. I wish I could give you a brand new fully functional body. I don’t blame you for not wanting the transplant. My cousin was on the list for 2 years for an organ, finally got one, and in the middle of the surgery they decided the damage to his other organs was too bad and gave it to someone else. With all the complications you have, I would be afraid of that for you.
You are a highly valued person. I care about you.

Thanks guys. I’ve had other scans showing problems. This is to decide how far it’s gone and if they want the transplant part sooner than later. Yes today is my birthday. I’m 42.

Happy birthday today. I’m sorry you’re in so much pain. I almost had to have a liver transplant in 2018 and it was very scary then, i understand how scary this is for you. Hopefully your liver biopsy will come back without too much damage. Hugs and prayers!

I’m showing symptoms such as GI bleeding, stomach bleeding, fluid buildup in abdomen, pain, vomiting. They said it’s related. My portal vein was damaged in my pancreatic surgery. It cause decreased flow to the liver. So parts of the liver are going. My liver function is at 13 percent right now.

I know how you feel about wanting your pain to end. I’m having to deal with something similar. They found 7 growths in my lungs. I was suppose to go back months ago. I haven’t out of fear.
My mom has lung cancer right now. She’s been living with it for over 6 years. She went through chemo and radiation.
My aunt was a heavy drinker and she had cirrhosis of the liver. She had a tumor on her liver. She went through hell and had a transplant. When I saw her in the hospital she was on deaths door. I didn’t think she was going to make it until the end of the week. She got a liver at the very last minute. It’s been 15 years since she got her transplant. She’s 72 now.
A liver transplant could buy you a lot of time. Especially if you have kids or grandkids.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. It’s comforting to hear of others journeys. I will consider getting a transplant if you consider seeing doctor about your lumps. Deal? It is frightening so I get you.
I do have five kids. I’ve had a difficult health journey in the last five years. I nearly passed away at one point. I’m okay with living longer but I’m also okay if it’s not in my cards.
@LilyoftheValley I have a lot of complications from the liver issue like fluid in the abdomen, GI bleeding, etc. it can’t be helped but I’m often hospitalized 4-5 days at a time for treatment from complications. It is reality I guess.
