In your teens, hanging out in the mall is super fun.
In your 20’s, going to the clubs is an absolute blast. It’s party hearty time.
It’s the same in your 30’s.
In your early 40’s, you are starting to feel a little left out at the clubs, like almost invisible.
In your late 40’s, you feel like you definitely don’t belong anymore. You feel like everyone is having fun but you, and you are absolutely miserable there.
In your 50’s, you have completely abandoned the clubs and never go to them anymore. If you want to drink, you do it at home alone. If you want to hear music, you either play it on your instrument or turn on Spotify.
I am in my 30’s now and my clubbing days are over. I know what you mean though, I was out with friends every Friday night most of the time for around 5 years. My town is supposed to be the Ibiza of the UK, we get some wild drinkers down here on stag nights etc. The police have changed all that now and were supposed to be coming a family friendly resort.
I went to a club once at 21 and accidentally headbutted a girl trying to dance with her. I’ve never been to a club before that or since. They’re really loud.
I never really went to clubs much, only went to clubs and bars in my early twenties. At 28 i suddenly had a kid and all the mental health stuff started, which was kind of the definitive end of partying. 37 now. I go to a quiet bar sometimes for a beer with a friend or by daytime to play a boardgame with my kid.
