One of the stronger wind storms we had a couple weeks ago broke one of the four dead pine trees in half and it fell bacwards away from the house but is leaning on a live oak tree behind it high in the tree…I told the landlord as soon as it happens and explained if cut down right, it might not hit the power line again so it will have to be replaced when the tree finally falls down…plus we would be without power about four days if it takes down our powerline. ugh…nothing I can do…

Oh, jeez, I hope your landlord fixes it soon. That would suck to be without power for 4 days.

I wonder if you posed it as a safety issue, and told him you’d hold onto the rent for a bit, if it might not prompt him to move faster.
Then again, I can be a dick.
