Kitchen Equipment 🥘

What are some kitchen equipments that you use?

I saw a steamer on sale today so I thought I should get it. Kitchen tools make life easier.

I think once I also mentioned about a slow cooker for those who do not like cooking a lot.
It makes life much easier!

A steamer would be a good tool. I used to have a water boiler. That was useful. Salad spinners are also fun.

I use my toaster, food processor (mostly just to make peanut butter), and blender the most.

Wait can you really make peanut butter at home!? Like peanut butter that you make peanut butter jelly’s with?

Yes! And it’s so stupid simple and tastes soooo much better than store bought! Just add the peanuts, a bit of oil, and some honey! Mix it all for 5-10 minutes and Bam. Fresh peanut butter.

I like to add cinnamon to mine. Mmmmmm

George Forman grill. I love cooking meat (chicken) on that thing. It’s quick to cook and tender.

Microwave but don’t use it often.

Blender to make smoothies but mine just broke a few weeks ago.

I adore my huge chopping block and my super sharp chefs knife, they are the center of every meal because most meals start with chopped onions and other veggies. I love chopping its very grounding and meditative for me.

Just chopped up some cucumber and green onion earlier this evening for crispy duck and pancakes.

My sister has a powerful blender type kitchen tool–you can make soup and cappuccino and all sorts of stuff in it. A juicer is a full kitchen appliance to have too.

I had several pieces of kitchen equipment only just two years ago when I lived by myself. I ended up having to sell or give them away when I had to move a few times.

My best one was a heavy-duty stand mixer that I bought on sale for about $250. Its a contraption that mixes ingredients if you are making cookies or cakes or mixing non-hard ingredients for cooking. I ended up selling it for $50 when I had to move from one place. I only had used it two or three times and it was like new.

But I also had a waffle iron, an electric ice cream maker, a blender, a George Foreman grill, a food processor, an electric egg cooker to hard boil eggs. and a handheld electric mixer. All were given away during several moves because either there was no room or in the board & care home they cooked and served all the meals. But now I ended up living semi- independently again and I sure could use all those things now.

oh I forgot to mention my rice cooker, I got it about a year ago and I don’t know what I ever did without it. It is so awesome to have the extra burner on the stove and just have the rice on the counter doing it’s thing. I also love not having to worry about boil overs. And once you learn your type of rice, it comes out perfect every time. I love it so much. If you don’t have one you should definitely pick one up.
